Who We Serve

The Empty Stocking Fund assists parents and guardians of children from birth through 12 years of age who are receiving certain benefits from DeKalb, Clayton, Cobb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, and Rockdale County Divisions of Family and Children Services.

Fulton and DeKalb County Residents
Children who are receiving Medicaid benefits from DeKalb or Fulton County DFCS are eligible to receive gifts from The Empty Stocking Fund. 

In November, parents or guardians of all eligible children will receive an invitation to come to Santa’s Village to select gifts for their children. Invitations will be mailed to the address on file with DFCS. If you have not received an invitation by Thanksgiving, please contact us.

In addition, The Empty Stocking Fund provides more than 4,000 gift packages directly to DeKalb and Fulton County DFCS offices for distribution to children living in foster care or protective services.

Cobb County Residents
At the request of the Cobb County Division of Family and Children Services, The Empty Stocking Fund provides more than 1,500 gift packages to the Cobb Christmas program. For more information, please visit www.CobbChristmas.net.

Clayton, Douglas, Fayette, Gwinnett, Henry, or Rockdale County Residents
The Empty Stocking Fund provides more than 3,500 gift packages directly to Clayton, Douglas, Fayette, Gwinnett, Henry, or Rockdale County DFCS offices for distribution. In most cases, these gifts are used to serve children living in foster care or protective services. Please contact your county’s DFCS office, or your case worker directly, for more information about their distribution process.
