Santa’s Village is The Empty Stocking Fund’s gift distribution center for Fulton and DeKalb counties. Each year, parents and guardians of more than 40,000 children come to Santa’s Village to play Santa for their children.
Here's What to Expect During Your Shift As a Volunteer
First and foremost, you should expect to have a great time helping some amazing people! Beyond that, there are a wide variety of tasks at Santa’s Village, and while we can’t guarantee specific assignments, there is sure to be plenty for you to jump in and help out with. Children 14 years of age and older are welcome to join you.
Dress comfortably! Since Santa’s Village is located in a drafty warehouse and there’s a good chance you’ll be on your feet a lot, we suggest wearing layers and comfortable shoes. Please feel free to sport your company or organization’s logo. Of course, festive attire is always welcome at Santa’s Village!
We don’t have a lot of secured storage space, so please minimize the loose valuables (purse, bags, etc.) that you bring into Santa’s Village. We are not responsible for personal items lost while you are at Santa’s Village.
Don’t come hungry. Before your shift, eat a hearty breakfast or lunch. The Empty Stocking Fund spends every dollar we possibly can on toys and gifts, so we are unable to provide food and drinks for volunteers. If you’d like to bring something (or have it delivered), you are welcome to do so. We have a volunteer break area with tables and chairs, a refrigerator and a microwave available for your use. We also have a water cooler and a Coca-Cola vending machine on site.
